Hi All,

Our next meeting will be Saturday April 8th at 10 am in the Sharon Priebe education wing at Volunteer Park conservatory. We will have plant starts available for club members to purchase at $2 per plant start. Hope to see you all there!

SOME IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

1) If you have not yet done so, Please pay your annual ECA dues.
ECA Single Membership -$15.00 ECA Couples membership $20.00

In order to purchase plants at the April 8th plant sale your 2023 ECA membership dues must be paid

We now have two ways to pay membership dues:
a) send a check made out to Evergreen Chrysanthemum Association c/o Erika Harris PO Box 66155 Burien, WA 98166
b) Pay your dues on-line at https://www.clover.com/online-ordering/evergreen-chrysanthemum-burien

2) Supplies? Contact Sue Joyner at [email protected] or text 360-303-8284
Start thinking about the growing supplies that you will need.
M&R mix @ $7.50 per bag – we currently have about 30 bags of M&R mix available
Fertilizers $3.00 per bag (early, mid and late season)
bamboo stakes – $1 each
If you are starting mums we also have starting cubes. We are currently out of plant labels.

IMPORTANT DATES:

Saturday, April, 8th at 10:00 AM – ECA Member Plant Sale – Volunteer Park Conservatory
Plant starts will be available exclusively to ECA members at April meetings
Active (attended at least 2 meetings in the past 12 months or participated in the 2022 ECA show) ECA club members can purchase plant starts at $2.00 per start.
ECA members who have attended less than 2 meetings in the past year can purchase plant starts at $4 each or 3 starts for $10

Please plan to leave public plant sale starts at the conservatory at our April 8th meeting.

Saturday April 15th – 9 am – 3 pm – Public Plant Sale – Volunteer Park Conservatory – Sharon Priebe education wing
Preparations for our April 15th Public plant sale are well under way and we look forward to a healthy turn out. I believe we will have over 1200 plant starts available for sale.

Our public plant sale is the only club fundraiser we have throughout the year. There are lots of ways to help with the public plant sale.

Public Plant Sale Volunteer opportunities:

What: ECA Plant sale SET UP and ECA member plant sale
Where: Volunteer Park Conservatory Education Wing
When: FRIDAY, April 14th 9 am – 3 pm

What needs to be done –
Collect plant sale supplies from VPC storage
Set up/Arrange tables in VPC education wing
– Information table
– Check out table
– Plant sale tables
Hang plant sale signage
Assemble bloom pictures
Fill red solo cups with sand
Sort plants for plant sale by classification and variety
Place bloom pictures with plants

Where: Volunteer Park Conservatory Education Wing
When: SATURDAY, April 15th 9 am – 3 pm
Volunteer shifts will be in 4 hour increments either 8 am to noon or noon to 4 pm

Sweep the floor
